April 19-20 2008: Texas VW Classic - Fredericksburg, Texas, The Texas VW Classic is made possible by the Texas Coalition of Clubs. See the webpage for a listing and join one of them, be a part of the largest VW community effort in the southwest. see http://www.texasvwclassic.com. This a 3 day all inclusive VW event with VW and tent camping onsite at the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg, TX. located on Hwy 16, approx. 2 miles from Main St., South of downtown. NEW this year we have added music entertainment starting at 7:30, following the dinner- Sidehill Gougers and the Dedringers! Look them up on myspace and give them a listen, they are all very talented young musicians from this area. This is a FREE music event and will be open to the public. Cruise Saturday the 17th, Show Sunday the 18th. 9 am to 3 pm, raffle of a 1776 cc engine.42 total awards: 35 peoples choice plus B.O.S, interior, paint, engine, Best stock, farthest driven and ugly duckling. Many raffle prizes including a1776 engine as well. A Hostess Twinkie (or Cakesters )eating contest will be held this year for entertainment during lunchtime. Winner will receive a prize for his/her determination.$10 Registration, $1 park entrance fee. Raised $1000 for the Park last year. Help us do better this year!
