Cruise/Get Together Idea???!!!!

Rhino, also known as Paul Buck, has submitted this for an idea for a cruise/get together.

It is a charity event for the Houston Zoo to help the Rhinos. Get it...Rhino wants to help the Rhino!!!

Bowling For Rhinos is going to be at the bowling lanes in Bellaire off of 610 on Friday, July 30th from 6pm-10pm.

It is $25 for adults, $12 for children
For non-bowlers $10 for adults, $5 for children

Here is a link for buying tickets (I think tickets have to be bought in advance, so I wanted to post this as early as I could.) Too bad we didn't know earlier, sponsorship for the event would have been fun, maybe next year.

I say we do the 8pm-10pm slot, so we could get more people to show up.

I think it would be fun. Anyone interested?

San Diego Zoo is awesome.

Anyone interested in this? We are trying to get a VW Clubs team together.

I am sorry no one decided to join us for this event. We had a great time. I guess that since it was a HVWC idea, no one wanted to join. Too bad.

We had no idea it was a HVWC idea........ That has absolutly no bearing on anybody from here going. I'm not speaking for everybody here, but Friday @ 6PM is a difficult time to get together. Especially in an area where we do not have many members. If your club does plan any other future events We (dLk) would like to here about it! We show no animosity towards any other clubs or affiliations. I'm glad yall had a great time!

Same here. I know in the past when we knew of Local Club Events, some of us (at the least) show up. Someone dropped the ball on keeping us updated... All I saw was Get Together "Idea" That does not sound like a for sure plan to me. Glad to hear yall had fun, wish we could have made it. To me it sounds like yall didnt want DLK to show...jk>>>

It was an idea - nothing in stone. Then there was NO update.

So please don't imply that we didn't show up because of any club affiliation. That shows no class.
