If anyone is interested here as I am posting it here...

On November 20, the town of Crockett will be shutting down the town square to host the annual Crockett Christmas on the Square. I did put out the info in the last newsletter but have since then toosed the flyer. I did recieve another flyer and wanted to put out the info verbatim.

"Crockett Classic Cruisers, Annual Car Show, Nov. 20, 2010, First Baptist Church Parking Lot, four blocks East of the Square, Hwy 7 (Goliad St.) Trophies awarded, top twenty five cars, top fifteen trucks, motorcycle, Host car and Truck. Peoples Choice, Best Paint, Engine, Interior and Best of Show. Registration fee $20 per car. Door prizes and 50/50 jar. Bruce Ashley @(936) 544-8835 and Chuck Seims @(936)624-6789. Show starts at 10am."

I can tell you that all sorts of food, crafts and wares are available. And in the past, a couple of churches have raffled off some rifles and shotguns. And yes, this is the one David Blades is involved with as he has his own VW class in as well.

This show is a nice retreat from the rat race and a chance to enjoy the countryside for a while. The distance is about a 2 1/2 hour drive north of here. Here is the link for directions..

Any questions, call or email me...

David

Yes, it is out of the ordinary but it is part of the charm of East Texas. Been going for years and I still love it...Time moves slow there...

Lol !! My late great uncle retired and moved to Crockett some years back before he past away. During deer season he kept a loaded rifle near two different windows in his house, just in case ;) :hillbilly: East Texas
