Bay Area, December 5 - Volkswagen of America, community supporters and friends of Tom Vetter have come together to create The Dubsicles Charity Car Show.

Spend the day at the Clear Lake Park white top pavilion at 5001 Nasa Parkway, viewing a large collection of Euro cars, classic cars, non-Euros and motorcycles; listening to music and enjoying the park. Food includes BBQ sandwiches, turkey legs, and sausage on a stick. If you want to spend the weekend in the Bay Area, the Hilton on Nasa Parkway is offering a special of $79 per night.
The charity show benefits Tom Vetter a 52 year old Clear Lake resident, VW Master Sales Consultant, Army veteran (paratrooper) who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. Public who cannot attend the event on December 5 can support Tom thru donations or by ordering Joe’s BBQ briskets on the website at

Car enthusiasts register cars in advance on the website for $30 or $35 at the gate. Vendor spaces are $50. Registration begins at 8:30am and ends at 11:00am. Judging is at 2:00pm and awards to follow. The event opens to the public at 10:00am. Admission: kids under 12 are free; adults are $10 with a BBQ plate included, $5 for any additional meals.
