Does anyone happen to have a working PIC 34-3 or an equivalent Carb. I could use just to make sure my problem is the carb. I don't want to spend $200.00 bucks if that's not the problem.

Yes I have rebuilt this carb. 4 times in six years. I also sent it to the guy on the Samba who puts in all new bushings and rebuilds the rest while he has it. That was about three years ago. I think this carb. is DONE...not rebuild-able....worn out, finished. But I want to be sure.

Anyone? :help:

I'm pretty sure I have a pict 34-3, but it ain't rebuilt. You can have it if you need it. It's rebuildable.

Thanks, but the bolt pattern won't match my manifold.

The only thing that wears on those carve is the bore for the throttle shaft, and you've had that fixed. The carb should be rebuildable IMHO...

Brian, see the photo attached, the yellow arrow pointing to the... freeze plug? It weeps fuel from around this area. I'm thinking this maybe part of the problem.

If it's just weeping out of there it probably isn't the main culprit. Especially since it started running poorly all at once. I think it's more likely that a jet or passageway is clogged. Have you given it a good soak in a fresh can of Berryman's?
