I can understand your point on the cost, shows normally only cost a few bucks. Please keep in mind that this is at the Fairgrounds, that is not cheap and neither is insurance. I also know that any profit made from this is going towards the Courtney Halowell memorial fund that Court's mom set up to encourage youth writing, photography, and auto mechanics. If you don't know who Courtney "Tito" Halowell was, I can tell you that you've see his work.

Tito was one of the founding editors of StreetTrucks magazine, he also worked as an editor at MiniTruckin, Truckin, Hot Bikes, World of Rods, and for Ten Media. As court used to say, I'm just a fat guy with a camera.

So if you think this show is all about money, you would be dead wrong.

I hope to see some of you there, if not, then maybe some other time.

Courtney Halowell memorial fund< The flier posted on this board, says nothing about a "Memorial Fund".

And when one is being charged the rates this show flier shows to be charging, I would say....it is all about the money!

To each their own - I guess your not a DLK'r I will be meeting. Not seeming like I would want to anyway.

Don't worry....you're just overly sensitive. Have a good cry....you'll feel better.

I'd ask to borrow your hanky, but you're probably too cheap to have one of those. :redguy: :redguy: :redguy:

Radar and Lonnie expected 350 - 450 vehicles for the first year. They had over 750 show up. It took me 6 hours on Saturday to shoot the show, taking a little over 700 photos. Saturday night after the BBQ dinner for the NC family, Radar and Lonnie presented Maggie Halowell a check for $4100 for the memorial scholarship.

We had over 70 Negative Camber vehicles there from as far away as Orange County, CA to Baltimore, MD. The members that traveled the farthest were two of our Australian guys. The building used for the dinner could hold 250 people, we had chairs for 200. It was standing room only and that was just the NC members and their families.

All in all it was a great show and I can't wait to get back next year. This time I'm bring out the bug.
