Saw this on Pawn Stars. Its actually a record player. You lay the record on a table, you place the bus in the grove and the needle drives the bus in a circle while playing the music. The rod on the side raises and lowers the needle.

Also, for those that may care. Next week they will take in a bug and turn it into a father son project. Just like it happened with my dad and my kids all the kid learns is how to hold the light and get yelled at.
