I've seen a few of those around. The 1800E and the 1800ES (Hatchback). Cool cars, and some of them used the same Bosch D-Jet FI systems as VW Type 3's! Did you find those off of Aldine Mail Rt?

That's right... Aldine Westfield! Must be the same ones I was looking at. My buddy has a machine shop off of Mail Rt and Chrisman, and he took me over there to look at those. I once shopped for one, but figured VW Type 3 was more for me!

on Little York just west of aldine westfield I think he sold it while I was there. he said a guy gave him a deposit and when I left there was a guy there talking to him about the car

I have a neighbor that is restoring one of these. I think it has a dual carb setup that is very unusual.
