WOW!!! not the type of shop I was thinking of.
Thank you.
What type of shop where you thinking of?
Man, There is just this image I have in my head....I don't know quite how to describe it. I am only 34 and I should be used to everything being on the internet with a nice website and "Front" but I grew up having to search for little hole in the wall shops that did this kind of work.
When I was growing up, helping my Step-Dad with his cars, or working on what would be my first car we had to drive all over the state to get stuff, find parts, find a guy that was an expert on 1929 Model A's (or whatever car we were working on).......Driving to Hershey PA for the annual show in Oct, going to Carlisle, and finding guys that could help you out was the only way to get what you needed O
Opening Hemmings Motor News or some want ads, calling a bunch of people, and finally finding a guy that could widen or narrow your wheels and he did it in some small, dirty, greasy, and cluttered shop as a side business.
So basically it just hit me that the "good old days" are gone.
Stupid, I know.
