Experienced DLK Folks....

I hate to start a question with a "dumb question comment", so I'll just get to it...I am ready to put my newly painted body (it has the wiring harness in as necessary and stainless firewall panels in too). My twin carbed engine in bolted to the tranny and in the pan. With friends, I aim to lift the body and set it on the pan. Since the carbs are wider than the engine tin is there any method (ie trick), to getting the body back on without removing the carb setup??? This might include putting the body down over the engine at an angle (widest opening is a diagonal line from front corner to the opposite rear corner), then rotating to re-align correctly.
Just hoping for any experienced input.

Thanks in advance,

I don't know of any tricks, pulling the carbs is probably the easiest and least risky option.

yes pull the carbs, sometimes when you think its too much trouble to do something its easier to do than not doing it. I know that just sounded a little screwy, but it true, short cuts will often turn into waaaaaaaay more trouble than its worth.
