Welcome James!!

I'm sure it's easy to miss the San Diego area. If I had my choice, it's where I'd live!

Yeah, i did my thing a little backwards too nick.

Im Murray, originally from Inland Empire/LA area, California. I now reside in temple, tx. I work at Fort Hood and serve in the Air Force Guard down in Houston at Ellington Field. My past car was a 1961 Beetle, and i now have a 1951 beetle.

Not new really here but, I realized that I never did an intro post. I've been a lurker since '08 and I have learned alot from everyone here on DLK.

I am not really new to VWs.....still consider myself a novice Vdubber. I like working on old cars in general but ever since I got "the bug" for VWs, it has been mainly VWs for the past 3 years. I try to do most of the work myself so I read alot and ask a bunch of questions.

The main thing I like about VWs is that I get to work on them with my son [I occasionally get my wife and daughter involved without much protest].....and then there is the VW community in general. I have made some good friends who are Vdubbers.

We live in deeeep south Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley so we don't make many of the big gatherings or cruises.
