Wassup everyone. My name is Marco. I'm mostly on the Samba but it gets pretty boring there and after stumbling upon here i decided to sign up. I live near Livingston TX , work for an classic Italian car restoration company , been into all kinds of cars as far as i remeber. Done sports cars , imports and recently bagged mini trucks but never (and always wanted) an ACVW.
Just bought my first one 2 months ago. 1969 Ghia. Been learning a crap load about it.
The previous owner treated the car like shit, now i get to fix it all but i'm enjoyng it alot.
The car was hit in the front at some point and for it to be right i needs a whole front clip. The previous owner cut out the nose copletely for a Volvo P1800 look , bondo'd the crap out of the headlight sections and the hood/fender area is all out of line. Since i dont have a garage and im currently renting i cant do a front clip swap but i do have a good used nose for it and i will fix it the best i can untill i move and i can take the body off the pan to do it correctly.
Just bought a Lincoln electric MIG welder and with no welding experience im in for a lot of fun. Wish me luck!
Here are some pictures , i have updated ones which i will post one of these days. 90% of what is missing in the pics i have in boxes so its not as incomplete as it looks.

Welcome! Looks like a front clip replacement is a must.

welcome!

I hate to say it, but that actually looks kind of cool. I have a soft spot fpr P1800's though, lol. Will definately look better though with a Ghia front end ;)
Keep us posted on your progress!
