Hey all,
I've been looking to get with a group of guys so that I can discuss getting my bug in shape and I'm looking for a group that shares my similar interest in VW styles. I bought my first bug almost 2 years ago and haven't done much to it. I joined North Texas VW Club right off the bat, but I just got the feeling they weren't going in my direction.
I then received last month's hotVWs, saw Eliot Vancil and his bug on the cover, which then led me to this site. I live in Cedar Hill and the article said he was in Midlothian, so I'm hoping that the DLK club meets out here as well. If this is the case, I'd like to find out what I can do to join and meet some people who can give me advice and like to help me in the direction I want to go.
I bought my bug from a guy in Georgia and learned a good lesson not to be impulsive and what to look for when buying a classic car. It's a 1961 bug vert with a new 1200 and tranny. However, now I need to repair all the mistakes made before me and I'm dedicated to the cause. I.E. I'm not giving up on her because of a few issues.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
Regards,
Mike
