Welcome!

there was some talk about an Austin chapter with Tommy a couple years ago, I honestly can't remember what ever happened with that, I think Tommy decided he wasn't interested, or he was too dedicated to AAC, or... :?:

My 66 isn't running. It hasn't for 30 years. It's been sitting in a cow pasture in Elroy Texas. The P.O. didn't know what he had and was trying to sell it on CL. Nobody had jumped on it and I didn't have the cash. So, a check came in. The guy was wanting $750, I talked him down to 500 "just to get it off his hands" and he bit. That evening I hauled it away.

Lots of stuff has gotten in the way of me working on it. But, after the new year. I can start diving in. At least its out of the weather and safe now. It has a nice clean concrete floor so if I drop any screws or hair-like springs, I have a better chance of finding them.

It was originally green, Pepper (my wife) and I agree it should be green again. Maybe with a white roof though. I'm not looking for 100%. But its all there and only has about 65,000 miles on it, so it would be a sin to chop it. I think I have bought a responsibility more than an old beater.

Good Luck! Those T34s can be hard to find parts for. Is everything there?

First off.. Welcome Tony.. to the DLK board.. excessively nice rides over here..!!

second it's "IE " w:pw

third -- I enjoy everyone so far from the DLK group.. I am decently good friends with everyone of you all..

fourth.. I am by no means am married to AAC and every event I hold or am involved with has very little to do with them presay and thus doesn't come with a bones logo.. ALL of them are my friends and I'll do anything for them that I can but when it comes down to it they are not even what I'm looking for in a club-group-gang-etc..

I've spoke with Murray a few times.. on this but it takes a little more than what happens here.. true help on shop days-clean rides-caring for their rides etc.. just because you own a VW doesn't make you the right person for all clubs..

I try my best at keeping a cleanish ride and cool outlook.. and for that I may only be fit for CHUM BUCKET ..
fun and serious at the same time..

all in love...
