Welcome! Funny how many mini trucker guys are also into VW's. I remember hanging out with NC back in 95 at show in AZ awesome group of people. Have to dig up some of my old pics. You mentioned your friend Radar. You talking about Todd? He still have his VW project?

Yep - that is the Radar I am talking about, Todd Hendrix. He's one of my close friends, not sure if he has it still or not. I'll be talking to him soon. Back in 95, on the river? If so that would've been Spring Splash or Endless Summer. My business partner, Bob Hase, was the promoter of those shows. He also used to put on Reso.

The funny thing about me being a mini trucker is that it was accidental. I've always been a VW guy, either air-cooled or water pumpers. I just happen to build a few trucks in the mid 90's and was asked to join NC. Courtney liked to always give me a shit for me being a mini trucker cause he knew I hated being called one. Miss that guy, he was one of the few guys in NC that knew where my true love was.

Radar, myself, and Todd White drove up there and hung out for the week with the guys from The Hack Shack.

My old Ranger back in the day..

One of these days I got to get around to scanning all these old pictures I got. Good times and memories for sure.

I'll also be out that way in Conroe, Tx Feb. 24-26 for the Lone Star Throw Down. My friends Radar and Lonnie are putting it on and it is the Negative Camber 20 year reunion. Hope I can meet some of you guys (and gals) in person when I am out there. I will be driving my Jeep out there with about 100 other vehicles and car haulers.

Anyone around Conroe?

Several of us are very close to Conroe, remind us when it gets closer and we can meet up. Maybe a bunch of VW's can poach a mini truck show.

The good ol' days. I was in another club at the time, I joined camber in 96. I do remember that show though, got my nose broke in a "difference of opinion" with another show goer. Radar say he still has it, it's in his parents garage.

Will do! I'm really interested in meeting as many DLKr's as I can while I'm out there. I should have another AZ VW guy with me as well.

Let me know when you come out again. My house is always open to travelers. I've got some NC guys from Australia in Jan / Feb, but outside those months, mi casa es tu casa.
