Wow, very ambiguous question. I can give you my personal favorite but you really need a to keep it simple(KISS) since you are a newb to the ACVW scene. Once you get some experience you can then take it to the next level.

I think something like Red James' setup would be a perfect beginner motor. It is just a bone stock 1600 single port, that or a stock 1600 dual port would be nice and simple, peppy, and trouble free. Stay away from 009 distributors, they were never intended for automotive applications and do nothing but waste gas and make your heads run hot.

I honestly have no clue who to go to to build an engine for you. You can always throw the dice and buy a complete used engine, but if you don't hear run just assume its going to need a rebuild.

That's a cool site. I wish you could save or eaisly print the result. I'll have to keep playing with that. Too bad it doesn't drop an engine in and let you know how it drives!

yeah, pretty frustrating that you can't save your settings. as for printing, just do a screen dump, then open it in photoshop or whatever and crop it.
