Making the first post over here. Seen a lot of you guys/cars at various shows around town. I have been reading tons of Samba and Volkszone build threads and cannot wait to dive into my 1962 Beetle. Dallas native, first car was a 1970 Beetle, bought back in 1996 (I will dig up the old picture and post it soon) and it is still a daily driver today. Has been in various states of disrepair and now all my love has been directed to the resurrection of the 62.

I know everyone likes pictures, so here is the ‘package’ I bought up in OK last summer. The green one is the 1962 and all others have been sold off. The black 1960 all original ‘barn find’ was sold as it was not dry stored and required a bit of body/pan welding that I could not do - but man did I want to keep that one!
