Thank you for the welcome.
I live in Richardson, just north of Dallas.
Although I have done a lot, I would say the “build” has not started. When I acquired this project my knowledge of year specifics was not spectacular. As a result I end up with the wrong hood, two wrong wheels, altered deck lid and a host of missing parts. Having agreed to purchase a roller I knew there would be lots to purchase, but I was not expecting the difficulty it would be sourcing good original parts. So I have been on the hunt. Last thing I am trying to get before work commencement is a proper rear deck lid.
Next step will be renting a soda blaster from StripCo ($500 for a weekend) and have a blasting party. This way I can get everything done nicely and even allow others to come over and blast away on their own project.
Here is couple more pictures for fun:
Did you know a VW shell can fit in the back of a long wheelbase Chevy? Got lots of looks driving down from OK with a Bug in the back of a truck.

Dub is slammed (no motor and 205/85’s in the rear) and is actually adjusted up a little in the front. May have to get it off the ground a tad.
