Thanks everyone! :D It's good to see so much activity in the local scene.

Some stats:
Current power 1776 w/dual 40dels, soon to be 1915 w/dual 44webs
both engines have engle 110, CB044 heads, counterweighted and balanced crank and rods
Trans is stock Super Beetle with Kennedy stage 1 pp and uprated disk (I honestly forget which one lol)
Topline MaXX struts w/Boge rabbit oil inserts lowered approx 5" and 7/8" swaybar
GasAjust rear shocks
944 Turbo front brakes, stock drum rear (soon to be 944T as well ;) )
Sewfine interior

My first car was a '72, man I wish I still had that thing. It had the same struts/shock setup that you have too, but I had the big sway bar in front and added one to the rear. It handled like a go cart, it was ridiculous. I really want to check your super out. I did all that suspension stuff to it 12 years ago.

I do have the big front swaybar (added to above post) and I do want to get a rear bar someday. If I ever go to 944 arms, I'll for sure do it then. It does corner pretty hard as it is, so I can only imagine how it'd be with a rear bar. 8-) I hope to get out to some meets/shows this year to see some local rides and meet some peeps. I'm looking forward to it.

I have a set of alloy arms that I decided against using on the notch, I'll sell them for cheap.

The 1915 is built and sitting in my garage. It used to be in my car but I needed to do a rebuild after a small carb fire. So I put in my old 1776. Now I am in the process of rebuilding and upgrading the carbs for it. I also have to replace some of the pushrods tubes on it because some of them got dented in during the move from California... I can't wait until its back in. I loved that engine.

NinjaNick: are the arms you have early or late alloys? I've been contemplating the early ones only because the late ones will poke the wheels too far and I don't really want widened fenders.

Thanks mk-zero! I like your screen name. Like the beetle was pre-mk1 golf. What's before 1? Zero, of course! :D

Wow, I think you are one of the few people to ever figure that out, lol. You must have been into watercooled's at some point too? I started with air, went to water for a little while, then came back to air to stay 8-)
