So we recently recovered this thing from the railroad museum in Galveston. It had always belonged to the fire department but was being displayed at the museum. Ike did a number on it and put it under 10 feet of water which seized the pump among other things. It is an American LaFrance steam driven fire engine circa 1904. It is mostly complete with just a few(but very obsolete)parts missing. Plans are to strip it down and stop the rust and paint it for now with a possible full resto after that is done. We will work on it in the fire station as much as we can but I imagine some stuff may be sent off elsewhere to be cleaned up. Anyone have a spare team of Clydesdales sitting around?
