nope same tank its been through some shit but same one, least i believe its the original i had two when i was putting it back together and could have got mixed up in the rebuild but they were the same exact color too, the s-1 only came in Red or Silver. I am trying to find a new "oil tank arm" just depends if i can come by one or not.

The color also looks wayyy different during the day, the later picture was at night.

ok, well i wasnt gonna say anything else, but since you seem determined to defend this, i call BS! you dont have to try to impress us with lies, just be yourself. it is a cool bike whether it is custom or not.

the tanks are totally different as viewed below

custom s1: tank is smooth on the bottom side and the knee tucks (where your knees rest against the tank) are concave (dished in)
Image

stock s1: tank has a step on the bottom and smooth knee tucks

on top of that, the swingarm on the custom s1 is from a 99-02 X1 lightning, which DOES NOT hold oil. XB models carry gas in the frame and oil in the swing arm, not the earlier bikes.

that would have had to have been a hell of an accident, as you added reflectors to the front fender and under the seat to be seen i guess, which are not on the custom s1. you also changed pegs. went from a clear taillight on the custom s1 to a red taillight on the stock s1.

the custom s1 also looks like it might have a yellow UK? license plate.

looks like the stock s1 has a bar end mounted rear view mirror on the left and the custom s1 has a top bar mounted rear view mirror on the right.

oh and i almost forgot white lightnings were whited out, ie white body work, white frame and white wheels. regular lightnings were available in a couple colors, not the WHITE lightning.

that is one hell of a reverse makeover.

Totally two different bikes. What else is there to say!!

He probably meant his looks just like the one first posted. Those are not the same bikes or the same year. Yes they are both Buells.

Thursday night a cop who lives in my complex moved my bike out of my parking space and took it. The next day i called the manager and the cops cop car got towed. I honestly never though id see the day a cop car would get towed.

I wanna know if you really saw the cop car get towed.. I highly doubt it. I don't know of to many wrecker drivers crazy enough to do that. The police are who make some of their income. I know in Montgomery County they would not do it.
