Now that's a fish and it's under sized. How big do they have to be to keep.

The min. size for a northern pike is 24 inches long. This guy was about 17 inches. You can only keep 2 legal size pike per day. Pike are on the boney side; some people bake them. I'm not a huge fan, but they are fun to catch - real fighters.

Great pics!!

We're finally gonna thaw out. As a matter of fact, it's supposed to be close to 70 on Sunday and I'm heading to Lake Fork to see if I can get a jump on spring fishing. I'll post pics and let ya know! ;)

Where B your name on this bass master list? Looks like they do grow 'em bigger in Texas.

It hit almost 40 today, but I don't think the ice will melt anytime soon. I picked up a new Swedish Pimple today (lure, not a social disease ;) ). So now I have to go after perch or walleye this weekend.

Did you get out on Lake Fork? [are lakes Spoon and Knife nearby  )

Tough sledding - lots of bare patches and maybe 2-3 inches of snow.

The T'NT is still in the garage: the change over to boogie wheels has taken longer than expected :( The secondary clutch could use new pucks as well. We might pick up snow later this week, which would give me late-winter snowmobile ride motivation.

Pixs are from a snowmobile boneyard 25-30 miles from my house. My friend needed a part for his Ariens Arrow. We found an old Skiroule front axle/drive cog that should do the trick.

Like most junkyards, it would be better to go picking in the spring/summer. I was walking over old snowmobiles buried in the snow. There must have been more than 300 sleds, nothing newer than late 1990s.

One more junkyard pix and a couple ice fishing shots for good measure.

There is a vintage snowmobile show this Saturday. Hopefully I'll have my junk up and running before then. I'll take some video if I go.

The bogey wheels are finally finished on the TN'T. It rides a hell of a lot better. Secondary clutch pucks greased up and ready to go - main clutch will need to be updated/replaced next season.

I went to vintage show today - pretty small turnout. Lot of the same TNTs from the previous show. I snapped a couple of John Deere sleds, including a cool old Spitfire.

Might get one or two more rides in before winter's done. I'm ready to move on to the VW, that's for sure ;)

Thanks. The old snowmobile kills time while the VW sleeps. However, I'm about ready to put snow tires on the Bug

Ha, ha. That could be my old Spitfire. Just missing the cracked hood, bent ski and blood from that ditch that jumped into my path one dark and loney night and punched me in the nose.

I thought someone out there had a John Deere sled back in the day. The 400 next to the Spitfire was a one-owner sled. The guy had a picture of himself riding it back in the 70s that was used for an ad for a local snowmobile dealership, pretty cool.

This snowmobile show actually had 3 old John Deere sleds.
