I hung an eight foot T5HO light today over my work bench. I gotta say if you are planning to light up your garage that is the way to go. The T5 is the brightest light I have ever had in a garage. That one light is brighter than the other 5 T8 fixture combined.

Make sure you tie those joists together before you go putting a bunch of stuff in the attic :shock: They werent intended for any kind of load.
I can probably find some nice warehouse racking if you need a section or two :thumbs:

Hmm I was under the understanding the reason it has 2"X 12" Joist on 12" centers was due to the garage apartment option. wouldn't decking it with 3/4" plywood tie them together. most garages only have 2" X 6" joist on 18" to 24" centers
