dont know how I missed this one. I'm really into bikes. Part of the reason I want a crew cab so much, to combine my hobbies
I used to race BMX when I was a kid, sold my bike for my first car. Dad matched what I saved up, bought a '66 bug.
wasnt really into bikes for a long time, then got this one and the whole bike thing came back to me
my first of many stretch bikes. still have this one
I painted it an awesome copper metallic, and it stayed that way for a while
built my brother one, a little smaller. He never said, but I'm sure it got stolen
then, I went to a bad ass vw show, the niello ride to walk charity show. they always have a great raffle, everything out and they pick your number, you get to pick from whats available. As I pulled in with the slammed taxi vert, I saw the bike and I knew I was going to win it. And I did, 2nd ticket they called. So I decided to combine the two, as it had an internal 3 speed hub, not 2 different actual gears
the black and the copper don't go well, so I painted the real dyno stretch bike VW L87 Pearl white, with a little candy and flake. that worked better with the black 3spd rims
then I bought a BMX. and another (this time chinese fake) stretch cruiser
and moved from Sacramento to Houston, with a job, a cell phone, and a GMC truck I purchased 6 days before the trip. All of my worldly possessions (not much) but, 2 stretch bikes and a BMX
I stripped the replica stretch bike to bare metal and let it rust. I think a lot of you have seen me on this one. It's a good rider and gets a ton of looks and thumbs up
I took it to southpadre, and rode it in the ocean. bare metal
clear coated it afterwards.
now it's pretty sunburnt. This bike actually got stolen, and turned up at a pawnshop. I was able to call the police to get it. I got it back a few months later
