Got the car from the original owner's son. I also got all the repair records from 1980 to present. Car is original, never restored although some parts have been replaced. Engine is rebuilt and has about 1000 miles on it. I replaced the gas tank, carburetor, condenser, and coil. I still need to adjust the idle (it diesels in at the end of the video). All the lights and horn work. It's a fun car to drive around.

I actually felt bad about buying it, I could tell he was emotional selling it. His father (who bought it new in San Antonio in 1965) died last year. I actually said before I paid him, "Are you sure you want to sell this?" He kept saying that it was just going to sit untouched for another 15 years and he didn't want to see that happen.

I have automotive ADD, so I'll keep this a little while and probably get something else in the future.

not sure, I'd have to look. At least 100k because the odometer has rolled over at least once. The engine was rebuilt about 1000 miles back.

Nice ride! My wife loves those. At some point I'll have to get her one. Of course I'll probably wait until both the kids are old enough to not spill crap in the car or throw baby bottles on the floor etc. Like sometime after they graduate from High school...
