Picked up this rust free Mustang from a coworker of my wife. Original Arizona car with just about zero rust. Even the cowl vents are clean. 6 cylinder automatic but the front has been changed out to disc brakes already making a V-8 swap that much easier. All the rubber is petrified and the paint is a terrible color but it is a good starting point. I'll work on this for a short time then it goes into storage while I work on the old Dodge.

It is running and driving pretty good already. The front end was way out of alignment as the wheels were pointed away from each other noticeably. That is fixed now. The carb was leaking so much there was a pool of gas sitting on the manifold waiting for an errant spark. I rebuilt the carb and that is good now.

Awesome project! That is Courtney's dream car, one day she is going to make me buy one, I have been lucky so far putting her off by telling her I know nothing about them.

Looks good Brian! There's a place down near 59S and 610 called 'John's Mustang' that has anything you'll ever need for the car. http://johnsmustang.com/

Pretty nice guys over there. You can walk in and get whatever you need.

Thanks Bo. I've been there many times. He has good prices. Actually I stopped by there today for carpet and a headliner. I used to use Mustang Mania out here in Katy when I had my Fastback. I'll have to look Russel up again. Ford Specialties are the place to go for Resto work but I'll do most of it myself.
Ethan, it sounds like I have you on the hook once it has AC and is a reliable daily for Courtney

Nah, It would have to be red for her to like it. I almost thought about buying the one Bo had for sale, but I think when the time comes I will just find her a red one that is already done.

That's funny, this will most likely be red by the time I am finished with it!
