I may be getting in over my head, as I know next to nothing about computer programing, but I thought it looked like fun and the price was cheap. A while back I bought into a kickstarter campaign for a mini PC that you could build into pretty much anything you want called PINE64. Kinda like Raspberry Pi I think if you're familiar with that. It's a quad core 64bit single board computer that runs on android or linux. I got mine with wifi and 4k hdmi, as well as an LCD touch panel and bluetooth gyro airmouse. I'm going to use it for portable gaming and media player. It's gonna be fun! :hillbilly:

Cool stuff, I'll be watching to see what you do with it. I've been thinking for a while I need to do a project with an Arduino or a raspberry pie, but I need another project like a need a hole in my head

Right now, I'm just trying to figure out how to load an image on the file system to output to the LCD. It came loaded with the image to output to HDMI only. This is all new to me, but it should be fun to learn how to do it.

I finally figured out how to decompress and write the correct image file to the disk so now I have my touch screen LCD and the 4K hdmi output working. The first app I downloaded was Angry Birds, lol

Now my current issue is that it won't recognize the Ethernet cable. It connects to wifi just fine but I'd like to have the option of being hard wired.

They finally shipped my abs case to mount the board and screen. Next is to hook up a speaker and amp of some sort so I'm not limited to earbuds.

Nice man! I think it's strange that it doesn't recognize your ethernet cable? I would assume either a driver issue or a faulty nic on that mobo. Also, do you have the latest BIOS flashed onto that board? Might help.....

Anyway, Good Luck with your dive into that little pc!!

Thanks Mike. I got corrected the image on the disk so the ethernet does work now. It also outputs in dual mode now, the LCD and the HDMI if connected.
