Ya damit. And actually the "X" does change over the years on how it is placed. Some years it stands tall and skinny and some years, like the 62 plate, lays sideways and is wider than it is tall. SO, thanks Doug for keeping me honest

Hey Fitz, what do you mean you only have to have one on the car. I thought you always had to have a front plate. Has the law changed?

I am not Fitz, but I am a real cop!!!! lol jk I noticed he has not returned your message.
No the law did not change. It depends on how you register it. If it is reg as a antique you one have to run 1 plate, and as a classic you run both(which you have to have the car inspected also, but you can drive it anywhere anytime) They only issue 1 dealer plate is the reason when you have a dealer plate you only have to bring one to the reg office. The reason you have to have both plates when you go to the registration office to reg regular Original plates is because they don't want two people trying to register the same plates.

The above statements are correct. You can get pulled over for not having a front plate if it is registered as a classic or regular however most Policemen dont pull you over just for that unless you are acting stupid and they will look for something else.Antique is just one plate as stated previously. The below plates I just registered to my Buggy today. I got a rookie at the courthouse so it took a long time for her to approve them and then I had to walk her through how to put it in the system. "Old Plates", "Customer Supplied", "number of plate", $15 extra.
