Hello all...are there any good VW mechanics left in DFW? I need to get some help with a Type 3 FI.

Thanks

are you wanting to pay someone to do it and be done with it, or are you wanting to learn it yourself?

@TexasAirCooler...you're talking about Barry right? I have gone to Barry starting way back in the late '80s but this is my first FI car. He is telling me its the hydraulic lifters but I did a compression test and all four cylinders were spot on and I dont know if Barry has enough experience with FI. The car would spit and sputter, lose power and then it would be fine, I might drive it two days no issues then it would not start, try to start it in few days and it would fire right up, then the cycle would continue. Fuel pump was a original so I replaced and now I cant get it running at all so I would just like someone with FI experience to go through it and get it working.

Not Berry... This guy's name is Robb. He's in the DAC group.

As for Berry, I have nothing to say!

He was doing a mobile mechanic thing for a while in his spare time. I sent him a message, let me double check for permission to give out his number.
