So this little ditty has put working on the bug this weekend on hold...

Coming home Thursday night from dropping a friend off at a hotel near my house and hit a patch of ice on a dimly lit road. I wasn't even going that fast, but when I hit it, it whipped the back end of the truck around fast! Gliding on the ice it seemed like it picked up speed as I was heading for the telephone pole. All is well, but the insurance company's preliminary estimate is that they may call it a total loss!?!? :bs:

....I'll know more next week. #maybeitwillbuffout

O wow that really sucks! I remember when you got that truck. Hard to believe from those pictures that it is totaled

Sucks bad. The possible 'total loss' was given by their computer software as they haven't seen it yet. Progressive will go out to look at it early next week to give me a firm answer. I put a lot into it after you saw it last and now I'm sure I won't get that out of it. If they do total it, I sure hope they give me a decent check. Always somethin

I just got the word today (12 days later) that the insurance company is going to fix my truck and not total it!

Big relief

Thanks fellas

I assume no, Eliot. However, the insurance agent is supposed to do the visual inspection on Monday.
