Looking good! Keep it up! Having a hard time figuring out your measurement sheet. Did you measure the bearings and journals each at a few locations? I usually measure them every 90 degrees (4 measurements per bearing/journal). Sometimes the bearings can be a little out of round and be tight in one area, and you can miss it if you only take a single measurement. I like at least .003" minimum oil clearance between the tightest location on the bearing and the largest diameter of the journal. Also, it's important to measure the bearings in the case, with the case halves torqued down. The bearings are designed with a few thou of "crush" in them, so unless you measure them in a torqued down case your measurements are fairly useless. |
