I should have been clearer, you are correct that the port needs to step down from the exhaust flange to the valve, but the port still needs to be opened up for the increased performance and matching up with the selected exhaust. Not to mention fixing the casting error I'll post some pictures of what I'm talking about Unfortunately the guy who built the engine will not share the details, but the work was insane. Probably close to $15k...it's for a special Porsche Landspeed project |

Wow, oops, lol. I guess no one told them the port should be centered on the studs. Any idea even what the displacement is on that beast? |

I finally get the endplay sorted and then I tear my paper flywheel gasket.... and then I tear my spare. UGH more delays! Then I double checked the pushrods in the case and one is a little tight on the guide. Doesn't fall right out like the others. I know i checked all of them before I put the case together. Not sure if that is ok, or how to remedy it now. Probability of grenade now up to 98.2% That land speed engine looks nuts!! |

Did you measure the lifter bores before assembly? I had to brass-sleeve mine If it's moving fine now, I'd leave it alone |
