I am stationed at Ft Hood Texas. But I am currently deployed. I am asking if anyone in that area could help finish my project I am new to the area so I am also looking for suggestions on a good VW shop in the area.

I am not sure that there are any restoration shops in Austin that cater to VW's

They're none..

Steve-o does it on the side. but is not really taking on new business..

and other than that I do not know of a place to even go buy parts for VW's in Austin..
we have lots of cars and people with knowledge but no real shops to get anything done at..

Wish I had a better answer...
