Eric, that looks really really good. I'm in awe.

Nice work.

Ditto what Dylan said, you should be preparing your oscar's speech. The $$ is yours.

Don't know about that  One of those watercooled guys probably works at the VW dealer, and has the scam locked up... so they don't pay and get all the free publisity. I don't care if i win just having fun!! I can't wait to roll in with everyone here in the DLK.

Seriously, if your car doesn't win it is rigged for sure! It wouldn't surprise me though if a 2008 model won
I was into watercooled VW's for long enough to know what those guys think is important, and it has nothing to do with creativity and hard work...

Something like this will win

Especially since its going to be at a dealer. A bunch of old air cooled VW's don't help sell new ones. At least VW doesn't think so...

you know its weird, with all the copyright shenanigins with volkswagen semi ignoring their past and everything as of late, the clear lake dealership has huge blown up classic bug and bus adds all over the showroom. kinda neat, when my girlfriend was buying her car from there we went up in the bug and the sales guy asked me all excited if i was going to trade it in!

NOPE!

That guy was a knucklehead. Shows you how much the average car salesman knows about cars.

I would love to drive one of those R32's! Although, I would spend my money on a TT. I wouldn't even try and change a spark plug! When it breaks down, the warranty is gonna fix it, not me!

Thanks everyone :D Here's a few of the dlk I airbrushed on the tail. This week and next will be the time to finish this thing. I'll have the rest of the interior in by this Friday from Sewfine, and the mounts for the board done. Next week I should be able to paint the dash and a few little pieces. Should finally have a finished car  only took 4 1/2 years.

surfboard top mounts for roof rack. Custom made stainless j-hooks, ran out of aluminum tubing so we used steel, will paint black. machined aluminum pointed ends epoxied in.

Spent 3 hours tonight ruffing in bodywork on the custom dash.
