JB Weld is some amazing stuff, my "fancy" cable linkage is using jb weld to to hold all the fittings on...they are supposed to be soldered :oops: :hillbilly: :dance:

The thing to note from theSamba post: Wire tie the fuel line to the carb. If you search you will find pics on how to do it. Another thing I remember reading is when you put you fuel line on, don't push it all the way to the carb. Give the area room to swell with the heat of the engine compartment. If its tight, it has a chance of putting pressure on itself and working that tube loose.

Also, James your guilty of this too, DO NOT put one of those plastic fuel filters in the engine compartment, they are nicknamed molotov coctails for a reason. Also run the fuel line from the pump to the carb long enough so it isn't putting any extra strain on that fitting.


OR run fuel injection...that is all :redguy:
