I need to split my case again and open up a oil passage :furious: So I just walked around the engine once and decided to do some work on the car instead. I am super motivated after seeing dougs and chucks cars running.

I heart fuel systems, i just love all the little fittings and how i sometimes need to get a little creative. so when i got fuel line reducer fittings from jegs I had to go into my room and close the door if you know what i mean ;)

so todays mission was to flush the fuel lines, check the fpr, and hook up my born-again tank.

here's all the crap i need for the front of the car:

A ish ton of extra fuel line so i can start the motor outside of the car:

My ghetto fab fuel system test rig, I didn't feel like getting a plug for the return fitting on the tank so i just used 2 gas cans. great success, no leaks and good flow.

Chuck hooked me up with the correct L41 black steering wheel. I installed it then realized my horn wasn't working. resoldered one wire, everything is working again. Sexiness

Advanced Auto carries them, $3 for 4. They are ok quality. I got a whole ish-ton of the old school volkswagen hose clamps, now those are friggin nice clamps.

It was brought to my attention that there was a significant miss-match in the diameter of the 30mm pump output and the passage in the case. I didn't even think to check that *facepalm smilie*

so tore the motor back down and scribed the case so I can match port it:

Using a deburring drill bit I proceeded to bore the hole out, smooth transition about 3/4" into the passage as per a recommendation from Tomnotch:

oil flow should be a bit better now since I got rid of that restriction.

The short block should be all buttoned in a little bit, i drank a shit ton of monsters and I'm still super motivated from last weekend. I want to hear this motor run!
