Hey, that brings back some I-75 memories!

That place is really cool - too bad you didn't have time to check it out. It's a family-run VW parts place; they have a 25,000-square-foot warehouse and an Internet-based biz as well. The website is www.partsplaceinc.com.

The building has a 120-foot mural of VW parts - kind of a like a larger-than-life Peter Aschwanden illustration. I haven't been down that way in years, but I remember going past the "VW building" every fall when we went to the mall in Saginaw, Mich. for back-to-school shopping for stuff like Toughskin jeans.

No big plans right now - except to drive it when it finally STOPS. RAINING. EVERY. DAY.

Real minor stuff: a new headliner and some interior work, few paint touch-ups. I'm figuring out the best tune on the 1835 - just enjoying the Bug.

You look like you have a healthy VW stable; I need to check out your project threads.

There's really no such thing as too many cars. OK, more than 2 Yugos might be a bit much.

Where would I find your project threads? I need to soak up as much VW knowledge as possible.

VW project Forums. As for knowledge, there's a lot of good build threads out there. The best thread of mine is the double cab Eric and Kostya have been working on. Eric's paint and body work is insane

Excellent. Thanks for the link - I'll check it out. Might find answers to a couple obtuse VW questions. Although I'm sure your build probably doesn't sink down to my noob level.
