After cleaning up the heads, I was getting ready to throw them on the engine but have run into, yet another roadblock.

Overall, they look fine, but have one issue; there are 2 cracks on each sparkplug holes, on both heads. I have not pulled the valves out to see how severe or deep the cracks are and see if they reach all the way to the valve. I am looking to have to either buy reman. stock heads or go ahead and bite the bullet and spend the extra money on some 40 x 35.5 or 42 x 37.5 heads. If I am having to get new heads, then I might as well not stay budget stocker anymore.

What do y'all think would be best? Keep in mind this wasn't supposed to be my motor build of choice, rather the motor for right now.

Kermit has them in stock, but I think they're a bit more than $219 though. I know he has both stock, and big valve heads.

But if you're going to be putting bigger heads on it, might as well throw a C/W crank in there ;) .

Now you are seeing where I am coming!

Actually I may just pick up some recon. heads @ $119 a piece and save the money to make my Super Stroker!
