Nice work, you AZ guys aren't scared to cut and weld 8-) I like !!! Keep the pics coming Mano, they're great inspiration for us

Wait till you see the beam Mano is helping me build for the bus  I pretty much seem to be attracted to rusty VW's, so I didnt have much of a choice!

I'm glad you guys have a welder/fabricator now to help out. I can't wait to see the finished beam. I saw the begining of it on your thread, got your work "cut out" for you  But it will be better than new

Yeah I'm pretty much scrapping the OG beam now and will have a completely new one!

Quit thread jacking Jeff :redguy:

Mano,

Wow, you are making some great progress! I available this whole weekend if you need help.

I picked up my car from Deluxe Customs yesterday and dropped off our donor car. Every piece of the car is going to be used. Matt already had the front and rear qtrs sold.

Talk to you later.

I am a certified welder.... not really.

I just wanted to say thanks Mano for showing the basics on mig welding this weekend and letting me make my first welds. I think I did pretty good for my first time. I have the welding itch. :hillbilly:

this weekend i pulled my doors off. broke some of the threaded screws and had to pull the bottom plate from the drivers side. me and my buddy dwayne decided to cut the outer skin and remove the plate from outside the car. went well. dont think theres any easy way to do that, but it wasnt too bad. trying to post pics, havin' technical difficulties :furious: . stand by.
