hot wired it today and she cranked right up so not a starter problem....so i then realy looked over my starter switch...its now working again but if it continues to freak out ill be looking for another one....

hey Billy, sorry have not checked in awhile.. That problem is the starter switch.. I jacked with it with some WD-40 one day and it seemed to come alive. I would replace it soon now because it sounds like it is on its last leg.. That car sat for 20+ years in a barn and that is pretty much the only electrical item that did not get either replaced or jacked with or cleaned pretty much. At least its an easy cheap fix.

yea that is my plan,, Its going to be a stretch to get it in the condition that I want it in.. It may have no interior but I am used to that :)
Prep and painting the body this weekend. All other parts are done...

Thanks guys,,

There is no decklid handle or license plate hole :) latches from the inside.. This is what happens when you get a Street Rod Custom builder into VW's
Uses a bear jaw latch and releases from inside the car.. Took all the parts off the car that really are unnecessary for function..
