Thanks Tommie ... With the drop spindles and the adjustable beam ... I only plan for the fender to be right at the top of the tire ... So I should be ok after the car is altogether and fully weighted and all. Glen on the Samba I think uses Volvo shocks that are a little shorter. I do have some shocks that I got from Brad that are EMPI and are shorter... I need to look them up and see the specs ..

I'll have to wait and see.

The EMPI shocks are "EMPI High Performance Oil Shock- Front, Ball Joint, Lowered, Code: 9653"

These should work correct?

My ft shocks are the double eyelet style. The Monroe pn is 5752, plus Monroe shocks are made in the USA.

Not saying the drop spindles was the problem. I did drop spindles at the same time I replaced everything in the front end. Took it to get an alignment and the shop said they could not get enough caster adjustment out of it. Was told the caster shims would fix it and I planned on lowering the rear to match the front and level it out. Just saying to be ready for the steering to be a little weird due to the rake.
