Well Operation Pan Replacement was a go for today. It started off with Eliot and I cutting out the old pans. Then Miguel was rolling on media blasting the backbone when mother nature decided that we needed tons of rain, so the media blasting will have to be done next weekend. The fitment of the new Wolfsberg West pans went smoothly. We started by measuring the exact placement of each pan bolt hole, then we ground the ledge and Miguel was able to hit all the hard to get to corners with the media, then using a hole punch we punched holes every inch on the new pans, and we welded them in . Jeremy and Eliot also shaved the bump stops off the rear and shaved them to a pleasing form. We also shaved the heater control knob. I will say this..... the cheap harbor freight hole punch really sucks for pans we had issues getting the weld to penetrate the tunnel before it closed our holes.
Thanks for the help today Jason, Jeremy, Eliot, and Miguel.
Here are some pic's enjoy....

How did the hole punch tool cause the holes to close up while welding?

Smoothing up the whole pan?

maybe I worded that wrong the hole punch puched holes that where too small in my opinion and while welding the hole would close before it burned into the tunnel.

Well, it certainly didn't feel like that was happening when I was welding them?? But had to be something like that... Certainly strange... Anyway, turned out really nice

Pictures are always my job, that is why there are very few of me in this thread, but I pull my weight.
