Its been raining diamonds lately. Thanks to Meredith I have tons of type 3 parts, lots of the little things that I have been needing.
my crank/fw/fan are still at the machine shop getting balanced, all the connectors for the COPs/TPS are on their way, fuel lines/breather hose/vacuum lines are on their way, and the new clutch is here(i can use a 200mm clutch with the flywheel i got).
I'm forced to reuse my main bearings, there is a world wide shortage of type 4 mains and I can't find them for the size I need. So I contacted polydyn and they are going to coat the ones I got plus my cam and rod bearings. I know this ghetto compared to having new mains but it is what it is.
I still need to send the heads and valvetrain to rimco then that should be it, assembly and install, and I'll get to hear that type 4 rumble
Friday i'll be buying a welder, and i'll have 3 weeks off of school so I'm going to get after the cancer and install the new aprons and sunroof.
BTW-i'm doing some science experiments too. trying to get remove the aluminum fins from the heat exchangers without damaging the steel tubes. So far the sodium hydroide is just not strong enough to dissolve the Al (its a stong base, active ingedient in oven cleaner/drano). going to step it up to muaric acid(active ingredient in pool acid), supposedly that stuff will do the job in 5-6 minutes, giggity
