I stripped all the wooden bows off the convertible frame and took it down to have it sandblasted. There's some pretty nasty pitting near the front of the frame that will be visible so I'm going to fill them and sand them down.. I think I'm just going to use Alvin Lab-metal to fill and smooth them out. They say you can powder coat over Lab-metal but I think I'm just going to sand them down, brush regular Por15, sand visible areas again and then hit them with Por15 aerosol top coat as the finished product. I used it on some parts under the car and it is really really hard and flows out nicely.

Picked the rack up from the sandblaster today. Started working on it this evening. Hit it with Por15. I'm going to use Por15's Straight Line Body Filler on top of the brushed on stuff to fill in the pitting. DA her all down and then I'm gonna hit it with Por15 Chassis Top Coat out of an aerosol can for a satin silky finish   Used that stuff on my tie-rods and it's crazy hard stuff   Front seat frames should be back from powder coat Monday and then it's off to Arjona (after I have a very serious talk with him :? ).
