So I decided to not use my speed density tune (mani pressure vs rpm), and switch over to Alpha-N (Throttle position vs RPM), idle is much better, but i still got lots of work on the rest of the fuel map and then i need to figure out the new timing map.

One thing about these TB's is that suzuki used a ECU controlled idle solenoid to control idle speed. I happen to have the correct suzuki solenoid. Looks like I need a bigger transitor in my MS and then I can use the experimental closed loop idle control, whoo-hoo. That should help with cold starts/warm up, and just all around a super stable idle.

Here is why I have been a little stingy about my gas money, I scored a set of good Porsche 2L heads.

I wish I had these bad boys about 7 months ago so they could have gotten rebuilt instead of my lil 1.7L heads.
My 1.7 heads have 38x33.8mm valves, these 2L heads have 42x36mm valves. the combustion chamber is different and the spark plug is at a better angle(i'll have to hack up my engine tin to accomodate), also the intake ports are so friggin big the intake has a 3 bolt flange instead of a 4 bolt flange like on all the rest of the t4 heads. I don't think i'm going to run these heads on this motor, the next motor i build will be NASTY and will need these heads.

that horn button is awesome!

So my notch is a one key car now, yay me! I added a couple of degree's of timing and that awoke a sleeping giant  I talked to a local tuner, one of best in the country, and he made a few suggestions. I'm taking his advice and adding a large collector for all the vac lines, he said that will make it run super smooth...I'll find out today, had to wait for the jbweld to dry. :hillbilly:

this weekends plan is do a launch control circuit in my megasquirt. I'm taking that VW drag day seriously. I'm waiting for one part, and with Eric's help on the fuel rails, I will have a big enough fuel system to get onto ethanol. I got to add another circuit to my MS so I can switch between fuel/timing maps, one map for pump and one for e85...kind of like a ghetto flew fuel vehicle :hillbilly:

Ninjer edit: saturday's plan is to go to the kemah show.
