All the wiring for the engine is new....except for the alternator harness, derr herp herp to me for using 35 year old crap. While I was troubleshooting it the ground wire broke off. On top of that I used a used VR that I bought off the samba. I took it apart and it looks like somebody stored it at the bottom of lake conroe (Yo Conroe!), ish was rusted away. I cleaned it all up, including the contacts, it worked awesome for about a minute(14v) and then went to 16v. I took it off and messed with it, now it's just making 10v. I also now have a short where there is supposed to be a open when I beep it out. Thats the last time I'm buying electrical crap off the samba. No biggie, ordered a brand new solid state bosch regulator for $40 shipped ($160 off  ) but the car isn't drivable till it get's here, I need good power, don't want to fry my awesome management :geek:

Ben- I have tasted the fruits of EFI and it was good, never will I go back to regular engine w:pw

I am sure that once you get it all straightened out, the fruits of your labor and the 2 or 3 fire extinguishers used in between will be worth all of the trouble. I am just messin' with ya anyhow Nick  .

I really do need to get a fire bottle for the car, I'm about to up the fuel pressure from 30psi to 70psi...if anything were to leak that could make for a really bad day.
