FYI those intake filters are really restrictive, not much area there... You'd be better off running open or with traditional filters...

Ditto. I researched the he'll out of those. Even spoke to Fat performance in person about them. They said the same thing. Run stacks or k&n....

Thanks for the info, Ive actually just caught wind of this as well. Looking at upgrading to some RAMFLOs. Just worried about clearance at this point in a type 1. Here they are below.

sounds good, keep us posted. FYI, the beetle engine pic you posted has IDAs on it, you will have more room for sure with IDFs. :thumbs:

Yeah, thats what I figured. just didnt know if it was gonna be ENOUGH room, but now i know! So them stack filters will be for sale soon! Anyways, motor is in and running like a beast. Had a slow leak from one of the oil lines at the AN fitting but its an easy fix. Ill get to it tomorrow. Just happy to have my heap running again, and with time to spare to iron out ANY 'uh ohs' before THE HARVEST. Just gotta find a place to hide that blasted red coil....
