I think I'm going to switch over to the stock beam with the drop spindles for now . The wheels are hitting the fenders and on the pass side has bent it . The only difference will be 1 1/4 inch on each side, but the car could be driven until I figure out or get another beam. I have the orig beam and need to do this this week. After surgery I can't do any lifting for six weeks but can drive. So I need to make this a driver ..

Wayne,
Is that a narrowed beam? If so, how much has it been narrowed?

It rubbed the fenders? or against the frame on the inside? what size tires are on the front?

Do you still have your stock beam? Let me know if I can help out...

yes I have my stock beam ... if I can get this figure out early friday I'm going to put the spindles on the stock beam before surgery. So I can drive the hell out of it . Then either buy of figure this beam out ... It has to be something simple ... position of the torsions is the issue .

Which side did you cut 2.5" off of? That might be your problem w:pw w:pw Just kidding, you think it might be the re-popped fender?

The problem is that I have only lower adjustment ... I need to see if I can reindex the avis adjuster so that I have adjustment so I can raise it up some. I would like the fender about a 3/4 inch above the tire .

Ok I need some opinions ... and I know we have some here . :hillbilly:

I think I have these options on my beam issue .

Issue: adjustable narrowed 2.5 beam with 2.5 disc drop spindles too low.

1) keep the drop spindles and put them on a stock beam I have. This will give me 2.5 drop but the width would kick it out.
2) keep the narrowed beam and use stock brakes. This will give me adjustment and even narrow it a little but lose the disc.
3) just go all the way stock.

all this with the Sprint Stars .

Let me know ...

Either way I need to do this tomarrow.

So is the problem that with drop spindles and disc brakes that you're beam is still not narrow enough? Is it kicking your tires and wheels out too far? In that case I would just run stock brakes with the narrowed beam.
