Aircooled.net sells semi metallic shoes too. I was looking for other suppliers. I have spent too much money with WW.
Are you replacing any wheel cylinders?

Everything is replaced, just the shoes, and they are new organic. I talked at John at aircooled, he couldn't tell me where they were made or what they were made out of. Kymco has a reputation behind theirs and its $29 for the fronts, $29 for the rear. I know some other places sell kymco stuff as well

I just can't see $800 for Saco discs and $300 for the master and reservoir now that people have said actual stopping is not improved. All new fag bearings and german drums were 300, shoes and springs are cheap. Wheel cylinders and master are not cheap, but when comparing to an early type 3, it's less than half the price lol. Rubber and metal lines are cheap too. I did look around, and WW was the only place I found new German drums

I'm contemplating buying aftermarket wheel cylinders and rebuilding with NAPA rebuild kits. I don't think that the Chinese metal cylinder would fail just the crappy rubber they use. NAPA makes reputable brake parts. Where is the best price for German cylinders?

I had new ones already, but I think you are probably right. Ronnie (bustoration.com) sells both german and tiawan and he sells rebuild kits. Are yours badly pitted? if it's just light groves, you can use the cheap honing tool and rebuild kits. That what I did with the type34 master.

Greg (campingbox) knows his shit as well as anyone, and he says the tiawan cylinders are good. He sells them for $30 each

Since I have a big nut trans, the rear stuff is super cheap to go german, wish it were a later 64-67 front beam, german stuff is still easy to find and cheap

f*ck me, they are cheap. Those FAG and SKF front bearings are half what I paid. Damn I'm going to have to remember that

so, last night was the first night driving it since I did the brakes and stereo. Both are good. Stops much better and the stereo is loud which is what I wanted

But

Someone at the park (the same park for critical mass) decided to squeez in between me and another car also parked. When he left, he pushed in the pumper, banged up the uprights, bent the bumper down, etc. I do have the liscence plate of the guy, but I did not see it happen. HPD came out, 2 really nice guys, one with a brother that has a bus. We talked, and it's just not worth it to file anything for less than $300 damage, when realistically, it's a beat up bus, and I'll be able to fix most of it pretty easily. Sucks, but whatcha gonna do?

Like I said, I did get the liscence plate, and picture of the truck, and people that go to that park dont tend to only go once, so I will see that person and truck in the same spot again, I'm sure...
