Took it for a quick test spin tonight. Need to adjust the timing a bit and get a new clutch cable and will be all good.

Wow what a day. I obviously have a few kinks to work out...

Lets see...

Broken clutch cable, fixed thanks to Doug and Nick

Grub screw fell outta coupler, temporarily fixed

Headlights not working, thanks Nick and everyone else that showed up to Niftee50's for lending a hand or comic relief

Headlights going out again, then running outta gas :furious: Thanks Dylan for the hookup on that.

Got here, hit a good bump, now the headlights are working again. Thinking switch, but possibly wiring. Back on it in the AM.

Me too..... and I just went out and checked, the headlights aren't working again.

So lets think this through...

Nick found and replaced a blown headlight fuse. Headlights work. Pulled over, shut car off. When turned back on, no headlights. Ran outta gas, while waiting, checked fuse, still good. Got home, hit bump headlights work. Turned on and off several times. Turn car off, go inside, come back out, turn car on, and now they aren't working. Check fuse still good.

So its either the headlight switch or the ignition switch. Which now I am leaning toward ignition switch..

Thoughts?

I got an extra headlight sw thats exactly like yours except it doesn't have a working dimmer, you can have it.

ignition switch could be bad if it has seperate connections for the ignition and accessory.
you could wire around the ignition switch and wire the lights direct to the fuse.

Made some progress on the old Buggy this weekend. Now that we have moved and I actually have a garage to work in, I'm starting to feel a little more motivated :) We stopped by work this weekend and drug it back to the new house. After moving a bunch of the landlords stuff (long story) we actually were able to get it into the garage. Spent a few hours tinkering with things and finally got it running Sunday. Me and the kids took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood and it did surprisingly well for not having been driven for the past year. Still got some things to do to get it ready to go, but now that I have the space, its just a matter of time.

In this pic, the only things in the garage that are mine are the buggy, the tote behind it, and the two bikes......
